PARSEC / CAPA PA Educator

Recognizes

An individual, team or site who has had a significant impact on the education of PAs in Canada.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The award recipient will be an individual, team or site who has been involved in teaching PA students, either clinically or academically. Some examples may include PA program faculty, clinical preceptors, guest facilitators, or course instructors. The award recipient may be a PA, a physician, or from another professional background.
  • The criteria for the nomination are based on the roles outlined in the National Competency Profile EPA-PA and adapted to reflect the roles of a PA educator.

The CAPA Board reserves the right to abstain from selecting an award recipient from the candidates put forward if they do not appropriately fulfill the criteria listed above.  

Who Can Be Nominated?

PA program faculty, clinical preceptors, guest facilitators, teams/sites or course instructors. This excludes previous winners of the award within the past 5 years.

CAPA Board Members cannot be nominated during their term.

Who Can Nominate?

Current members of CAPA and PARSEC, CAPA Board members, PARSEC Board members, and CAPA staff.

Self-nomination by an individual is excluded

Evaluation of Nominations

The Awards Committee will make a recommendation to the CAPA Board of Directors and the PARSEC
